Outstanding Undergraduate Research, Scholarship and Creativity Poster Displays
1:00 pm Center for the Arts Atrium
As one of the nation's leading research universities, The University at Buffalo is committed to nurturing and supporting research and creative work across all disciplines. Everyday, our undergraduate students and distinguished faculty engage in research projects that ignite intellect and enliven the learning process.
The Center for Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities (CURCA) showcases the work of top undergraduate researchers and their faculty mentors each year during a formal poster presentation, which is part of the campus-wide Celebration of Academic Excellence. The campus community is invited to view these undergraduate posters in the Center for the Arts Atrium.
Student presenters are nominated by their Deans to participate in the Celebration of Academic Excellence. Each decanal area is asked to go through their own selection process and supply a limited number of undergraduate student works. In limiting the number of student presentations from the various undergraduate schools, a wide variety of scholarly and creative works are able to be showcased. During the Poster Presentation, top student works are selected and those students are honored, along with their faculty mentors, at the afternoon's formal program.
Undergraduate students interested in participating in the Poster Event should contact their Dean's office or The Center for Undergraduate Research & Creative Activities (www.curca.buffalo.edu) for deadline information. To learn more about research opportunities on campus or to view stellar examples of past undergraduate research, please visit the CURCA website.
We look forward to you joining us as we "Celebrate Excellence" in undergraduate research and creative activities.
